It's from White Stuff and is sooooo soft (probably why they call it the Cuddle Me Quick Cardie). Oh and it's grey. Did I mention I love grey?!
I've teamed it with an all-black ensemble which creates the 'column of colour'. There are different ways to create the 'column of colour' in an outfit, but here I’m demonstrating the easiest way which is by wearing the same colour on the top and bottom with a third layer, in a different colour, over the top.
It’s a technique I recommend to my clients. It's particularly good for shorter ladies as it magically 'lengthens the body' and is also good for larger ladies and/or those that are heavier around the middle, as the 'column of colour' keeps the eye moving up and down rather than side to side. I could get a little more technical but I think you get the gist.
My mum had bought me the cardigan in a size 6 which was a tad too small, but she had included the receipt so I could exchange it if I needed to.
I texted my mum whilst I was in the shop...
And before I go, I want to mention another very well-chosen gift from one of my oldest friends - she’s actually only 42, but you know you what I mean.
Look at this cutie scarf. It’s grey and has silver stars on it. I know - it may as well have my name on it!
For those returning to work this week or back on the school run after the Christmas break, I have no real words of comfort I’m afraid. But if it’s any consolation, my alarm will also be set for ridiculous o’clock tomorrow morning and I will probably swear and be really grumpy until my latte kicks in.
