I thought I would give you a sneak preview of what I intend to wear on NYE. We're heading to the pub with some neighbours and though I don't need to really dress up, I do want to wear something that is a little sparkly because if you can’t wear a bit of sparkle at Christmas and New Year, when can you? So, having sent back the sequin jacket that I ordered before Christmas (too small and the wrong cut), I was on the look-out for something suitable when I saw this jacket in H&M. Sparkly, but with a biker-jacket edge to it. Perfect.
Now, do excuse me but I’m going to wind this post up and love you and leave you; just getting the photos taken yesterday was a challenge which exhausted me and after a day at work, I'm ready for a glass of vino and a rest.
I’ve decided winter blogging is hard. It’s generally too dark inside the house (unless you get daylight bulbs, but the ones I ordered weren’t that great) and outside there’s either too much sun, not enough sun, in the wrong place kind of sun and/or it’s blooming cold!
And my little photographer was, funnily enough, way more interested in playing his new Wii U game rather than taking pictures of his mum and so kept disappearing into the house before we’d taken all the shots. Plus, there were extra ‘creative’ demands on him as I gave him strict instruction to be clever with the angles to avoid me looking like an extra in The Walking Dead due to sleep deprivation. If it’s not my wee photographer (who is going through an insomniac phase at the tender age of 9) keeping me awake, then it’s Mr. B who was quite obviously a dog in a past life because he keeps twitching and making sudden movements in his sleep like he’s chasing cats. Give me strength!
Wishing you all a fun New Year’s Eve, a happy and healthy 2015 and many, many uninterrupted night’s sleep!
P.S. My son desperately wants a Pug, but we unfortunately can’t get one just yet (or ever, says Mr. B) and so I bought him this rather cute cushion to cuddle up to instead. Awww.
